That happens when the texture folder for that variation does not have a thumbnail.jpg. If you have Win7 or Win8 you have a built in program called the Snipping Tool. Load one of the planes up in FSX and get a nice view of it with the sim paused. Then open the Snipping Tool and click on arrow next to New. Make sure Rectangular Snip is selected. Then draw a rectangle around the plane and save the Snip to the texture folder with the file name thumbnail.
