ColR1948 Posted February 13, 2019 Posted February 13, 2019 John H Haynes the founder of the famous Car and Bike repair manuals died on 8th February age 80. Guess what he even did one for the Vulcan: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/233109373311
longbreak754 Posted February 14, 2019 Posted February 14, 2019 Not only the Vulcan...… Go the Haynes website (LINK), click on the Practical LifeStyle Manuals link and you will see that they have down many other types of manuals. The military aircraft pubs number over 50 and are not just limited to aircraft but also operational concepts. I recently had a look at the Royal Air Force 100 book that a friend got for Christmas - it gives brief details of key innovations in the history of the RAF (like the development of the bouncing bomb) and flight in general (the development of the jet engine and ejection seat for example)….. Regards Brian
ColR1948 Posted February 14, 2019 Author Posted February 14, 2019 Hi Bri, My son-in-law made me laugh, he said some of these manuals have caused lots of swear words and scuffed elbows and knuckles in his garage lol.
