elmerfudd
I installed fs9 on an old Core2 duo running Windows 10. The machine in question is a Core 2 Duo E6550 running at 2.33 GHz, and has Windows 10 Pro 64-bit O/S. It has 6 Gb RAM. This box left the factory with Windows XP, and someone upgraded it. The installation proved to be very difficult, but I finally got it installed and running. I was shocked to discover that my frame rate, with the Cessna 182 sitting on the ground, and no weather, was 7 fps. The task manager shows that the CPU is running at 52 %. This is not what I expected. My older Pentium 4 with XP runs much faster, at 30 fps, (with the same slider settings and the same plane at the same airport). According to PC World, this computer is supposed to be able to run Windows 10 OK. https://www.pcworld.com/article/2951112/hardware/can-your-old-pc-run-windows-10-the-answer-will-surprise-you.html So now, I don't know if it is the Windows 10 that is responsible for the low frame rate, or whether the machine itself is just so much scrap iron. Any thoughts would be appreciated. elmerfudd
