Saitek Multi Panel - Switches off

Hi and Merry Christmas, if that's your thing,

 

I am running FSX SE on a decent PC, I have several Saitek products, a basic stick, throttles and the recently purchased Multi Panel for the auto pilot control. I love the device however I am starting to fall out of love with it. During a flight, no real pattern, the unit will sometimes freeze, so I cannot make any changes and then will power down. The program keeps going and I can make changes with the mouse, just the panel will not work anymore. Sometimes it will just go off altogether with no freeze first. From then one it will sit there basically lifeless and the back light will occasionally light up and go off but no display features.

 

I just cannot trust it and it is really annoying when it happens.

 

Any ideas how to fix this please??

make sure in Windows Power Settings -- Edit Plan Settings -- Advanced

that your usb ports setting for: Selective Suspend

is set to: Disabled.

 

(Or else the usb ports may go to sleep to save power.)
