LTCSZ
I too am getting back into flight simulation after several years absence...I have a computer that should run any of the flight sims out there...Is the hype for P3d living up to itself? Is P3d updated regularly? Is FSX Steam just as good (being cheaper)? I can run FS2004 like a dream...Should I bother with any of the "FSX Clones" or stick wsith FS2004? I don't mind spending the money; I just want to have fun...Thanks for your opinions... Steve in Kansas
CRJ_simpilot
While P3D is for academic use only, people still violate the EULA anyway. You could try FSX, just can't crank all the settings to max. Flight Simulator is largely CPU-based and not even multi threaded. If FS2004 works for you then perhaps stick with it. But I've noticed a decrease in FS2004 add-ons. OOM errors? Read this. What the squawk? An awesome weather website with oodles of Info. and options. Wile E. Coyote would be impressed.
bdf369
PMDG has some supposed big announcement tomorrow (June 9). Maybe it will be a new flight sim? I'd wait to see what happens before making any big investments.
