Hey,

Is there a way to get ai carriers to be active airports with tower view?

Is there a tweak to get fsx to stop crashing or have better fps?

Is there a T-39 Saberliner in US navy colors for fsx?

Are there scenery packs with fields of tall grass?

And last but not least, my Virtavia T-34C keeps surging forward even though I have the power all the way back, and solutions?

System specs: AMD FTX 6300 six core processor 3.5 GHz, Video card Nvidia Geforce GTX 750 Ti 2 GB on board,

Windows 8.1 64 bit and 1 TB on hard drive.

"Are there scenery packs with fields of tall grass?"

Short answer, yes.

As far as I can tell, freeware addons for animated grass fields seems to be scares. What is available seems to be coded/dedicated to certain air fields and not available for any/all airfields around the planet.

You could buy FSX on Steam in the hope that the few tweaks Dovetail Games have made will perhaps improve performance.

Here's what Dovetail themselves say in full-

“The main reason you would even consider picking up FSX: Steam Edition if you already have a significant FSX-O[riginal] setup is the implementation of Steam for multiplayer purposes.

That's the big single thing we've done is replaced GameSpy with Steam.

Yes, there have been a few tweaks made that may improve the performance of FSX for some users, but if you already have the simulator we're making no secret about the fact that at this point, what we're offering to you is limited.

The people we're hoping to attract first and foremost are those to whom FSX will be a brand new experience, rather than those who have already invested a great deal of time and energy into the hobby.

We know this will be a little disappointing to those who had hoped for a revolutionary rebirth of the simulator, but we've got a way to go before we can talk about our future plans. At the moment we're focusing on introducing FSX to a new generation of flight simulation fans.”

Consult the tweaking guides in the stickies at the top of this forum. Do so with extreme care. The easiest and most effect way to improve FPS is to reduce your graphics options in the sim. This is what all of us have to do regardless of tweaks. In FSX, frame rate chasing or over-rated. YOu goal in any changes you make should be to prevent stutters or slide shows with the frame rate display turned off.

Crashes are another issue more often caused by user settings and under-powered computers. There is one common source of crashes you should consider if you have a 64 bit computer and that's the automationcore dll fix. Again, search the stickies or other forum threads here where that fix is often discussed.
