Is it a good idea to update my FMC to the current data to fly the current sids and stars that a vatsim controller will probably give..or will the current data i have be sufficent ...i use a pmdg 737 that's never been updated.. thanks for your help Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
pvarn Posted January 7, 2015 Share Posted January 7, 2015 Controllers are pretty flexible and if you inform them you have only default navaids, they will work with that. Many controller areas do keep their radars updated, but it's on a center-by-center basis. No harm in keeping up, but if it's too much for you, don't worry about it. You can learn more by visiting the vatsim site and the dedicated controller center(s) web pages where you want to fly and read their info on what revision they are on and how flexible they are.
