Peete
I'm trying to decide on new desktop hardware to run a 32" monitor, (1440p, 144hz, & Freesync ), mainly used with FSX SE. Current choice - GPU AMD Radeon RX Vega 56. - CPU Intel i7 7700. I have gone with the Vega 56 which is a match to the monitors Fullsync technology, rather than an Nvidia which would not be a match But, are these two boards likely to be fully compatible with each other to provide best performance ? And thats where I'm stuck. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.
jmig
I think it is accurate to say that most flight-simmers would choose the i7-7700. Peete
Thanks John I go along with your suggestion but then I have the question, "should I use nvidia as the GPU and NOT be able to use the fullsync facility on the monitor in question, or, go with either a radeon 580 or maybe vega 56 gpu which allows use of fullsync but there be a drop in comparable overall performance with the intel/nvidia combination ?" I have no experience on this and so really don't have much of a clue Thanks again for your help Pete.
Luke
I think it is accurate to say that most flight-simmers would choose the i7-7700. Not as a GPU, they wouldn't. The Vega will always be better than integrated graphics. Cheers! Luke
