First solo around the world by helicopter, 1983.

Recommended Posts

Australian legend, Dick Smith, completed the first Atlantic crossing and circumnavigation of the world, by helicopter, solo . This incredible feat of flying was accomplished in 1983, when Dick flew his Jet Ranger, for 37,000 miles, on a flight from the Bell works in Fort Worth, Texas and was featured in a BBC documentary, which I recorded on VHS.
