rrohtake
Hello, I got a hot tip, and was following VDA3020 (Volga-dnepr) today but noticed flight path was coastal all the way south. It's definitely longer and wondering why they picked this route instead of cheaper direct. By the way, I got to see her in the dark and noticed red/green lights were off with two strobe flashing. Pretty amazing. Thank you for any input. Rick neighbor of KSFO.
rrohtake
Hello, Just a follow-up - the AN-124 had flown out KSFO rwy 1, which is the shorter option to the usual 28R/L. Last week, another flew in/out the next day on 28L with normal glide slope which was surprising as I thought she would be loaded. The next destination was South Carolina. Was a little funny listening to ATC when he told Southwest flight to hold position after land as, "I'm not sure where Antonov who flew in before you is parking". Rick, neighbor of KSFO.
