rgmpc
I have a system that I use exclusively for flight sim games, but which produces very slow frame rates. I was told when I purchased the system that I should get very good frame rates (expecting at least 40 fps). I only get over 20 if everything on the game is turned way down. Here are my system details: AMD fx 8320 eight core 3.5 ghz 16 GB dual chnl ddr3 Asus Tech motherboard M5A97 R2 2 identical AMD Radion r9 280A graphics cards - crossfire available but enabling makes no difference Storage 256 Samsung SSD 850 pro Don't know if this is enough information to give me an idea if 15 -20 frame rate is expected or, as I believe, is low or is this all my system can generate. Any help would be appreciated.
RatRace
Performance also depends on the type of flight sim of course, but for X-plane at least I'd say the AMD CPU was an unfortunate choice. XP loves Intel i7 processors. Anyways, 15-20 frame rate with everything turned down is not what you should expect.
