jandjfrench Posted January 12, 2017 Share Posted January 12, 2017 Hi Bob, 1/4 - 20 x 4 1/2" That is 1/4 inch, 20 threads per inch by 4 and 1/2 inches long. Hope that translates! It's likely that the nut inside has turned in the pocket in which it sits. By using a very skinny long Philips screwdriver it's possible to loosen the screw that must be loosened to open the case. Twist the clamp so you have the maximum opening of the adjacent hole exposed to get to the screw. Perhaps, cleaning the bolt threads and a new nut will be all that's needed. Oh, and building up the enlarged pocket with epoxy so the nut doesn't turn. Jim F Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
