Newbie with a question

Recommended Posts

Hi guys.

I just purchased a new desk top PC. It is supposed to be "gaming" ready.

There is a i5-6400 2.7 GHZ unclocked and a GT 710 ASUS (heat sink cooled) 8GB memory 1 Terra hard drive.

I wanted a i5-4460 3.2 GHZ unclocked and a GeForce GT 610 1 GB fan cooled same 8 of memory and 1t hard drive.

What should I do, do i keep the i5-6100 and GT 710 or do I insist on the i5-4460 and the GT 610 I originally asked for?

What do you recomend?

Thanks a millions guys.

If you already have the computer I wouldn't even bother sending it back.

Looking here http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i5-6400-vs-Intel-Core-i5-4460

The i5 4460 has better single threaded CPU power and multicore power. Since FS is a CPU orientated game, the CPU is the biggest factor over the GPU.

Thanks Simpilot

Yes, I agree the 4460 is faster a 3.2 GHZ.

But like my posting says, i am not happy. I ordered a 4460 and he put in a 6100.

and, I ordered a "fan cooled' video card, and he got me a "heat sink" video card.

I'm just not happy that the store switched things around either.

My wife is returning it this morning.

I have seen the video of a i5 4460 combined with a low end video card, and I am happy with that. (some time later I may purchase another more powerfull GPU that can process faster Video ram.

Thanks again.

Jay
