Hello everyone. I installed the AC560AV3 Milton Shupe Aero-commander in my Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit system a few months ago. It runs fine, but I noticed a red beacon light under the fuselage that doesnt work. Its there but non-functional. How do I get it to work? I know it has something to do with re-writing notepad etc. in the aircraft folder. Please explain how to do it in plain English for a simple minded guy like me, thanks.

Open the aircraft.cfg file with notepad and scroll down to the [lights] section.

Mine looks like this, is yours different?

You're very welcome...

Just so you know: the lighting effects files reside in the "Effects" folder.

These end in ".fx" but the [lights] section just calls them with the file extension.

For your version there would need to be an effects file called "fx_beacon_commander.fx "
