Tiger Moth for FSX

Recommended Posts

I am considering the purchase of a laptop to be used primarily with the FSX Gold Edition and Acceleration Expansion Pack.

I read the review article regarding Tiger Moth in PC Pilot (issue 90).

For that review the Intel Core i7 4710 MQ was used. Would I experience a significant difference with the 4810MQ or even better with the 4910 MQ?

Also, would the addition of a 120GB mSATA SSD improve performance significantly?

Thank you for your interest and help.

Note the highlighted rows. There isn't much difference in specs other than price and speed.

With a 300MHz advantage, the 4810 should give a decent performance increase over the 4710. With an additional 100MHz, combined with the 33% larger cache, the 4910 is most desireable. FSX is CPU centric. Budget constraints aside: The faster, the better...Don
