Bank speed: anyone tried editing it ?

No, "auto coordination" is where the rudder automatically is moved in coordination with the ailerons when making a turn. As though, if one had a set of pedals, you press the appropriate rudder the appropriate amount to maintain the "ball" centered in the turn-n-bank indicator when making a turn. But with "auto coordination" checked, the sim does that for you.

Having to move the controller back left slightly to maintain a constant bank angle is a normal feature of aircraft. You also must pull back on the controller slightly to maintain altitude when making a turn. Long, complicated explanation, having to do with the way a plane's aerodynamics work. If you really want I can explain it, or any number of other people on the forum can. Most of whom are smarter than I am, by a fur piece, as they say. You can also Google explanations of aerodynamics.

It can be found on the Settings page, Realism tab, lower right area. It's a checkbox marked Autorudder.

Does all that babbling answer your question?

Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again!

Since this is about the E300S and how it 'handles' please note that you do not want auto rudder on. You need to work the rudder on knife edge and on aerobatics. That's the OP's problem. No rudder control (he is using an XBox controller). Anywho, here is a video of the Extra doing aerobatics (more or less-hehe). Link:https://youtu.be/BgKFzsNPinQ . Enjoy.

PS: with the heavy iron, in a cross wind landing, you don't want auto rudder either. You need rudder to do 'crab' into wind on landing. Simple as that.

I agree 100%, Chuck. I never use autorudder. I was answering his question as to what it was, and how to turn it off. I didn't mean to imply it was a good thing, especially for special maneuvers, like knife-edge flight, certain aerobatics, crosswind landings, or whatever.

I even use the rudder in the F/A-18C, and it, along with the F-14 are what's known as "feet-on-the-floor" aircraft. IE, the pilot doesn't need to use the rudder for MOST maneuvers, due to the design of the aircraft's fuselage, and the canted-out vertical stabilizers. All this is according to the NATOPS, not rumor, or hear-say. This isn't to say the pilots DON'T fly with their feet on the pedals, that's just a convenient descriptor for the design of the aircraft.

Just wanted to point out that even in planes designed to not need the rudder input very often, you still need it available.

That was all :)
