aerosim31
That reminds me of that 737 that crashed where the crew had engine trouble and shut down the wrong engine and went off the runway and into a highway. Wasn't that an Airbus going to Congonhas, Sao Paulo, Brazil? 35L crashed into a TAM building next to a gas station. Throttle was left forward. ryapad
Most of my bad landing come when I fly a challenging plane for the first time or after not flying it for a while. I was flying the Soloy-Cessna 206. I had just flown a load of skydivers up and was diving back down to the airport. On final, I looked down at the VSI. We were sinking at 1,000 fpm (the 206 sinks like a rock without power). Every time I flared, I would add some power to arrest the flare and keep on floating. I planed the wheels down hard on the middle of the runway. Sometimes, you learn an airplanes interesting flight charictaristics the hard way. Ryan Eagles may soar, but weasels never get sucked into jet engines. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] http://gac16.blogspot.com/
