1. SSD (of course)

2. go for the fastest oc quad core cpu (because p3d is cpu driven)

3. just-below-top-gpu. (ie a 1070 - a 1080 will bring you little or none extra)

I would like to have the CPU that Microsoft (and everyone else at that time, except Intel) had in mind when they made FSX. 10 GHz quadcore CPU.

 

Back in reality, I think the Jetline Systems Gravity GTX would do fine as a "dream". Especially as they set it up for top performance, saving me a lot of time.

 

But I am happy with both my current systems too. i7 5930K with GTX 980ti (P3D) and i7 3770K with 780ti (FSX). Each simulator core has it's own operating system (Win 7), each on a dedicated 1 TB SSD, scenery is split on two additional 1 TB SSDs (one with airports and mesh, the other with photoreal scenery) on an additional SATA controller.
