wyodeacon
Well, I'm about to junk this computer. I had a hard drive crash and Dell talked me through a format/windows reload and everything seems to be fine except I can't get FSX to work. I installed FSX Deluxe and sp1 and it loads just fine. To check it I just tell it to fly now with the ultralite. It loads and has me flying over Friday Harbor. So Far So Good. When I push the escape button instead of going back to the main free flight window it shows a black screen with the white box saying "loading complete 100%". It sits there for maybe 5 seconds then crashes. If I try to load a different aircraft it does the same thing. I have uninstalled and re-installed 3 different times with no change. Here is my error message: Description: Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61355.0, time stamp: 0x4643ee0a Faulting module name: atiumdag.dll, version: 9.14.10.984, time stamp: 0x5221203b Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x00024c81 Faulting process id: 0x1de4 Faulting application start time: 0x01d1d976d4cb7a62 Faulting application path: C:\Microsoft Flight Simulator X Deluxe\fsx.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\atiumdag.dll Report Id: 28722a9c-456a-11e6-934e-68942309eaf8 Event Xml: 1000 2 100 0x80000000000000 3498 Application Gary-PC fsx.exe 10.0.61355.0 4643ee0a atiumdag.dll 9.14.10.984 5221203b c0000005 00024c81 1de4 01d1d976d4cb7a62 C:\Microsoft Flight Simulator X Deluxe\fsx.exe C:\Windows\system32\atiumdag.dll 28722a9c-456a-11e6-934e-68942309eaf8 I plan to get a new computer this fall but I'm having shoulder surgery on monday and would like to get this going. JSkorna
Update your video card drivers from the AMD/ATI web site. http://www.air-source.us/images/sigs/000219_195_jimskorna.png
rishabk97
Points out to your Graphic card's driver. I suggest you to check if any updates are available. If not, reinstall the current one or rollback to a previous (stable) driver. Wish you a rapid recovery after your surgery. http://www.crossed-flag-pins.com/animated-flag-gif/gifs/India_120-animated-flag-gifs.gifhttp://status.ivao.aero/414320.png
wyodeacon
OKAY!! I went to AMD and updated .....and it works! I don't know how you knew it was a driver as I can't see anything in there pointing that way but you nailed it. Thanks so much. I was about to go nuts. :) Thanks also for your good wishes. Take care. rishabk97
Faulting module name: atiumdag.dll, version: 9.14.10.984, time stamp: 0x5221203b This dll points that it was your graphic card driver. And, I suggest you to install SP2 too. https://www.microsoft.com/Products/Games/FSInsider/downloads/Pages/FlightSimulatorXServicePack2.aspx http://www.crossed-flag-pins.com/animated-flag-gif/gifs/India_120-animated-flag-gifs.gifhttp://status.ivao.aero/414320.png
wyodeacon
Yes, I just installed Accelerator. I was just checking it with a minimum of add-ons before proceeding. Thanks again.
