San Diego, CA- IntelliJet, the newest U.S. start-up airline, is set to begin operations on June 10th from it's base at San Diego-Lindbergh Field. The inaugural flight, ITJ150 between SAN and SFO, will officially mark the beginning of operations for the low-cost carrier.

"We are really excited," said IntelliJet CEO Andrew De Forest. "We have been working extremely hard to get to this point, and we can't wait to show our supporters what we have to offer."

The company's fleet of three Boeing 737-800's arrived in San Diego over the last week, and are currently undergoing final preparations to begin revenue service. The aircraft are currently on lease from Air Lease Corporation. IntelliJet seeks to combine innovative on-board features with low costs to provide the best possible passenger experience.

Currently, IntelliJet plans to serve 17 cities across the United States and Mexico. Daily flights to Memphis, Mexico City, Miami and Sacramento will be the primary focal point as the airline seeks to establish itself.

The airline is currently in talks to get a fourth aircraft leased by mid-summer in order to expand it's route capabilities. IntelliJet seeks to serve up to 25 cities within it's first year of operations.

"There are a lot of great markets out there." said CEO De Forest. "Obviously it's hard to reach them all with only three aircraft. That's why were going to be aggressive in our expansion strategies."
