BryanButler
Hi, guys. I would finally like to fly FSX online with other users. Especially with Majestic Software's MJC8 Q400 Pro edition. I'd like to try the Shared Cockpit feature, but I'm not sure what internet speed would be recommended to fly without lags. My current internet speed is 100Mbps (Verizon Fios). Do you guys think that's too slow to fly FSX online and to be able to fly using the Shared Cockpit? Thanks!
mqytn
100 is plenty. I get 28 and I've been flying on the FSOpen servers for 2 years. Sharing is not a problem for me. Some servers have packet limits and some do not. Just experiment. If you get kicked it means that plane exceeds the limit. If you have Steam- FSX there are usually servers for sharing there too. Steam-FSX will not connect to the FSOpen servers.
