68guns Posted March 31, 2016 Share Posted March 31, 2016 I bought this sim and I really like it but on takeoff I always get a master caution EGT warning. Statically my EGT is 610 and the warning comes on at 680 degrees on takeoff. I am only using about 30% of the throttle which is not enough for takeoff. Anyone else come across this problem? Ideas? The highers you are the less dense teh air the worse the cooling, when teh air is hot you need to derate the engine. At high alitiudes at hot temps you are playing with fire. and than need to reduce weight to hopefully take off. A plane at sea level in freezing conditions can take oof with a lot more weight than one at 40C or 5000 ft. just becuase it is withing weigh tlimits, tah tis only for one condition. which is why sometimes plane have to reduce passenger numbesr to TO.
