ednixon
I have a video featuring an Air Seychelles 767 300 and noticed the PFD does not show an altitude tape. Is this common, or perhaps a selectable feature or under what circumstances would it not show? A standard round gauge altimeter is just to the right of the PFD. Boxjockey99v2
To my knowledge (4500hrs flying the real thing) the 757/767 never had altitude tapes except on retrofit aircraft such as AA, Iceland air and now jet2. Some had speed tape but this was an option others not graced with that option just had a fast/slow indicator. Great aircraft (757) but a first gen EFIS system not on par with all the new whizz bang stuff on the latest heavy metal Hope that helps Kris A320 line instructor with a big airline :)
