Signalman1
I'm using the Flight 1 Garmin GTN 750 with the Flysimware Learjet 35. I've done a few RNAV LPV approaches and I have yet to see a glideslope (GS) indicator on the GTN 750 screen as I'm descending towards the runway. The CDI is in NAV mode. Should I change to VLOC? Any information appreciated.
Jim Robinson
Usually it just activates the GS indicator on the HSI or whatever you're used to seeing when you're on a normal ILS. Sorry I can't be more specific but I don't have the Lear. I don't believe there's any GS indication on the GTN unit itself though, I've never seen one. No don't change to VLOC unless you're actually flying an ILS in which case the GTN will pop up a msg telling you to select the appropriate nav source when you get within range. Signalman1
Thanks Jim. I'm used to the G1000, flying the F1 Cessna Citation Mustang and the Beech King Air 200, where the GS does appear on the G1000 unit. I'm surprised that the GTN 750 doesn't have this feature. I'll check the HSI on my next flight to see if it shows up there. Bob
