Kiwi Sim Pilot
Hi Looking to get back into flight sims after a long break. Long time MS user. Is there a difference between the steam version and the stand alone version of X-Plane as steam has a 50% sale right now. Cheers
RatRace
Hi, X-Plane is the same, but for the steam version you need a steam account, and you will need to log in to steam each time you want to run XP. Also, the support for the steam version of X-Plane is handled by Aerosoft. Another difference is that you must download the scenery for all of Earth separately (but it is the same scenery as for the stand alone version). If you don't mind all of the above, you might just as well go for the steam version.
