Clarindo
I use for all my aircraft in FSX an "Information Gauge" that clearly depicts the current altitude, the speed and heading. As it stands, whenever I switch to another window (aircraft, panel, outside view) I must then press Shit+3 to have this information displayed again. How could I have this permanently and automatically show in all these windows? Attempting a better description I show below the current pertinent configuration: In the panel.cfg file: [Window Titles] .............................. window02=Information .............................. [Window02] Background_color=0,0,0 size_mm=900,40 window_size_ratio=1.000 position=0 visible=1 ident=1500 window_size= 0.469, 0.100 window_pos= 0.300, 0.020 zorder=5 type=Special type= gauge00=InfoGauge!InfoGauge, 0,0,900,40 .............................................' Guidance on this subject will be very much appreciated. Jim Robinson
Maybe get rid of the superfluous type= after type=special?
Clarindo
Thanks a million, Jim. That superflous "type=" was eliminated and now I can change from window to window and the information is continually and automatically displayed, as I wanted. Much appreciate this valuable contribution. il88pp
Alternative to using the gauge: press shift+Z two times. It's displayed then too. Someone, I think scatterbrainkid, also posted a way to change the colour of that dialog. (red by default.) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
ScatterbrainKid
Yeah, somebody told me that if we want to change colours, open the Infogauge CAB with notepad and change it to light green or yellow or whatever.
Clarindo
Thanks il88pp and Scatterbrainkind for your assistance. I used to rely on Shift+Z (twice) but the font size and location are not comparable to the much larger font in whatever position you choose for the Info Gauge. I have created several Info Gauge sets with varying colours after opening the Info Gauge.xml with Notepad. Really glad that with your assistance I now have a permanent reading whichever window I change to. Thank you very much.
