Milton Shupe B18 startup.

Recommended Posts

I kinda guessed as much, and math and I get along famously :D I love it. It explains the Universe, larest to smallest, everything is all math, if you look deep enough.

Anyway...

I looked at a lot of add-on as well as default aircraft, including several by Mr. Shupe. It looks like the general consensus is about 0.35 or there-abouts, so 0.316 may be a hair low, but that's the "usual" setting I could find.

Hope that helps out a litttle bit :D

Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again!

Hello

Pat

I hope so .

Its to do with the Beans possible solution to my startup question(obsession) for the beech 18.

But this is positively my last effort.

Flying it again as I write this message.

Maths not my strong point.

Cheers

Andy

I did that on mine, and it did start on both engines. But I used .328 I think..

I doubt it's too critical.

FS9 planes often need an aircraft.cfg tweak to start in FSX.

In the [piston_engine] section, try increasing the...

normalized_starter_torque=n.nn

...value, I usually double it.y

peace,

the Bean

Thank you Bean!

Your tweak worked!

I started the Beech in manual, I will try the same with default Maule which also is only Ctrl e.

Excellent thank you.

Cheers Andy.
