About This File
FS2004 Curtiss R2C-1 1923 Pulitzer textures. Textures only for Matthew Chamberlain's Curtiss R2C-1 racer. These textures have been heavily modified from those released with the original model to more accurately depict the R2C-1 flown to victory in the 1923 Pulitzer race by U.S. Navy Lt. Alvord "Al" Williams. Re-colored brass wing surface radiators from gray to gold, realigned the national insignia to point forward instead of to one side, moved the insignia from the top to the bottom of the lower wings, corrected the markings on the rudder, re-proportioned the rudder stripes, added the missing Bureau of Aviation seal to the fuselage sides, corrected the race number from 6 to 9, and changed the color of the plane to a slightly lighter, brighter shade of blue. Also includes a 2D panel made from a screen shot of the VC. Requires Matthew Chamberlain's Curtiss R2C-1 (CURTR2C1.ZIP). Modified textures by Mick Morrissey.
