About This File

FS2004 Alidair Viscount 814, 1975. One of the rarer members of the Alidair fleet this aircraft spent much of its time out on lease and also was stranded in Guernsey for some months under repair after a nosewheel collapse on landing. Originally built for Lufthansa it was sold to Airwork in February 1972 who sold it on to the Sultan of Oman Air Force as 503. Alidair purchased it in January 1975 and it took up the marks G-AZNH allocated in 1972 but not worn. It was leased to Cyprus Airways (twice), DAN Air and Skyline Sweden before becomming 9G-ACL on sale to West Africa Air Cargo. It was written off in a landing accident in Monrovia, Liberia on 10th June 1978. Requires the FSDS Viscount 800 model by Rick Piper. By Garry Russell.
