Weston Shore (UK)

Weston Shore, situated on the east side of Southampton, runs alongside the So lent from the city boundary at Abbey Hill towards the mouth of the River Itchen at Woolston. The shore is a popular location for people across the city as it has direct access to the waterfront and provides views over the Solent. It's a great place to watch the ever changing activities on the water, including the comings and goings of large cruise liners.

Weston Shore, with its highrise, tower-block, buildings is adjacent to Hythe Town and the Americanbase Hythe on the entrance to the River Itchen. The highrise buildings, with their pale blue cladding, are a prominent feature when approaching the Eastern Docks of Southampton from the East along Southampton Waterway. Various fuel oil storage and sewage tanks, as well as Woolston Sailing Club, are visible along the banks of the River Itchen.
