About This File
X-Plane 11.50+ Blackburn Skua 1.2. The Blackburn Skua was a carrier-based low-wing, two-seater, single-radial engine aircraft operated by the British Fleet Air Arm which combined the functions of a dive bomber and fighter. It was designed in the mid-1930s and saw service in the early part of the Second World War. This is an update of the original Skua by Jaques Brault: blackburn_skua.zip. Thanks to Sean McLeod for his X-Plane 11 conversion and for permission to post. This version brings it up to date for X-Plane 11.55. I had to convert the engine, cockpit, and canopy to get them all to show. I then added a 3D cockpit (thanks to Ray Hill for the use of his parts). Version 1.2 has a correct V type tail hook, plus the trainer livery by Jaques Brault (used from 1942 to 1945), and finally an opening canopy by Ray Hill (thanks Ray). By Alan Ashforth.
