About This File

X-Plane 11 C172 GNS430 + Comm/Nav Stack 1.0.2. This is a modification of the default X-Plane 11 Cessna 172, so as to only include the GNS430 and radio stack - not the GNS430+530 avionics suite that is fitted with the default aircraft. This avionics layout created is commonly found in C172's throughout the world. Please see the included documentation for details. Version 1.02: edited cockpit normals and added ASG C172 flight model. By Luke Webber.

Hi.

This model does well in the low power range, it can actually fly at 1600 RPM with 20 Deg of flaps, and 30 Deg at 1700, it also does well in Straight and Level at cruising speed.

To achieve the low RPM performance you have to give some things up, due to the LR flight design model algorithm limitations, but overall much better for pilots that want to do pattern work, want and ADF, and expect closer to real life flying performance numbers.

Conditions tested under:

Lift off at KSNA, 20R, No wind / WX, Full power, turn to a heading of 150, and set Heading bug, climb 1000 AGL over the ocean, and engage AP, for Alt and Heading, wait for the acft to stabilize, then reduce power to test different power settings, or turn AP off to test S&L.

Hello,

I'm sorry but I can't get this model to load up; had the same problem with the earlier version. Half way through the progress bar's trip east a flag comes up saying something to the effect; CAN'T LOAD SOUND BANK. BANK and bang we're back to the desktop. Would love to get this sorted out.

Thanks a lot,

Baitul

Hi Baitul.

Can we take this to the XP Forum? I will start a post Cessna 172SP GNS 430 V1.02. What version XP and how and where do you have it installed? I've had no problem with either I use XP1120.

Master Bank.bank is a file that should be located in your ..X-Plane 11\Aircraft\Laminar Research\Cessna 172SP GNS 430 V1.02
