About This File

FSX Boeing 777 2D Panel. This is a comprehensive panel covering several versions of the Boeing B777 and extensively upgrading the previous panel. There is a new PFD with V speeds and flap speeds, new MFD with TAWS and terrain maps, new EICAS with a large range of scrolling messages following Boeing format, 13 synoptic screens including checklists. Also included is a simple ground handling panel, an MLW calculator, and "green glow" night backlighting. This panel is specifically designed for 1920x1080 monitors - it does not scale well to smaller ones. By G. Munro.

A great panel, top notch. The only issue that I've seen is that I can't adjust the vertical speed wheel on the autopilot panel.

Looks good (and some nice features). The only thing is, all panels are greatly improved if the pillars which would be visible from the captain's (or FO's) POV (at least the center one, to which the whiskey compass is mounted in this case) were included (and of course, photoreal backgrounds help). Panels just don't look right (read: real) without these. Is there a provision for this or would it be much trouble to add them (to all of your panels)? Thanks!

I solved the V/S selector issue by simply putting my mouse on the selector and sliding it up/down with my mouse wheel.

Answers to a few queries:

1. Yes the mouse wheel is used on the VS selector as well as throttles.

2. I put in the centre pillar with the compass so that there would be the option to have this pillar as well as the option not to have it for those who prefer better visibility. Other pillars I do not have artwork.

3. Not sure what sub-panels are meant - do you mean the Fixed Panels shown in the panel.cfg? This was extra text from a panel.cfg for the MelJet model but I did not include the artwork for them as they are not my work. The bmp files can be found with the Meljet model.

All the bitmaps are there. Which ones do you think are missing? You dont need the original panel as it is very different internally.

Great B777 2D cockpit upgrade. Unable to test fully due to other commitment. Will surely test fly with this new cockpit real soon. Also appreciate the Manual that comes with it, really helpful stuff.

ILS Heading Selector? Do you mean the Localiser / Approach which is the LOC and APP buttons on the Autopilot? If you mean the course heading selector this can be selected on the heading window or the bank dial.

The size of the main panel seems squeezed for me, what is the size it is intended for? I am not using a wide screen.
