FSX Boeing C-97 V.1 Beta Base Pack

I have tried to down load the c-97 v.1 several times with no luck. Each time I down load it shows up in my FSX with acceleration, I attempt to open it and a window opens telling me that Microsoft flight simulator is shutting down. I have attempted to down load both manually extracting and with addit pro only to get the same results.

I sure would like to add the KC-97 to my hangar, I was a member of SAC and a crew member on o929 the "ramp queen" for three years in the early 50's.

I may be doing something wrong, if so, I do not know what.

These CTD's have been found to happen because of the gauge fsx_event_logger in Window00 of panel.cfg. It's a purely diagnostic gauge and normally perfectly reliable. Comment it out and all should be well. Better still, download this patch and some other quirks are removed, plus some tweaks added.

I sure would like a former member of SAC to have this plane!!
