FSX Royal Netherlands Navy Bell UH-1C in marines livery. In the 1960s the Royal Netherlands Navy purchased a number of Agusta licence built Bell-204 (UH-1B) helicopters for SAR, ASW and light utility tasks. This set of repaints resembles a "what if" Dutch version of the Bell UH-1C. What if the RNLN purchased a line of Bell UH-1C's beside the fleet's `Bravo's` in order to support the Dutch Royal Marines on deployment in the former Dutch New Guinea territories in the early sixties. With this line of helicopters maintained in service at other Marines/occupied locations in that timeframe they would have been seen at Zanderij (former Dutch Surinam), Hato (Curacao) and Valkenburg NAS, besides Biak, New Guinea. Though the paint/scematics are fictional, this is what they would have looked like; Olive drab, with Royal Netherlands Navy registration and markings, but with the distinctive Marine Corps logo at the cockpit doors. Some liveries have nose art, pointing back to the rich history of one of the oldest marine corps units in the world (since 1665).
