Looking out out of the cockpit to land

I liked the FS4 function that allowed one to move the runway in the windscreen up or down for landing by using the shift-enter to move the runway up or shift-backspace to move it down. Is there a function like this in FSX???

The commands that work (slowly) are ALWAYS PAN UP lowers seat view, and ALWAYS PAN DOWN raises seat view. I assign these to the Z and A keys using the options/controls/buttons and keys menu.

 

That way they are handy on the left side of a keyboard and one on top of the other. Reassign another key to default functions that use the A or Z keys if you need to.

 

It works, but is a little slower than FS2004, and takes a few minutes to get used to
