familton
I know somewhere FSXA has a rotating beacon. I am trying to place a rotating beacon (not on a stand) on top of a tower. Does anyone know of the GUID number for a rotating beacon? Thanks, Bob. I want to place it with IS3.
mrzippy
https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/284538-rotating-beacon/ Found this. He has listed a couple of those numbers you are looking for. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
familton
Thanks. Here's my xml: version="9.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="bglcomp.xsd"> lat="41.39071045" lon="-70.61204038" alt="5.6M" altitudeIsAgl="TRUE" pitch="0" bank="0" heading="0" imageComplexity="VERY_SPARSE"> name="{7f38bfbc-e295-4a40-845c-3f3c872cfa82}" scale="1.00" /> attachpointName="attachpt_beacon" pitch="0" bank="0" heading="0"> randomness="ALWAYS_DISPLAY" probability="1"/> type="CIVILIAN" baseType="AIRPORT"/> I used a Hair Tool to get the lat/lon. I had to set the altitude as I wanted the beacon only showing above my tower. The beacon stand is actually inside of my tower. Only the beacon shows. Bob. P.S. I found out that it can be done with ADE too.
ryapad
http://lc0277.gratisim.fr/sceneobjects/ You can find one here too. Eagles may soar, but weasels never get sucked into jet engines. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] http://gac16.blogspot.com/
familton
Thanks. I tried the ones in Airport Objects and they do not rotate. I was looking for a single rotating beacon without the stand. I'd sure like to find out how the above xml file works. There is no GUID or airport object shown but it does work. Bob.
