runway 14 left
How do you go about turning off the default ATC in FSX? I thought I had it turned off, but every time I initiate a new flight, its there and functioning. There must be a setting somewhere that I am missing. mrzippy
Why would you want to disable ATC? Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
JSkorna
The only way is to turn the ATC sound slider down to zero. You cannot just turn it off. http://www.air-source.us/images/sigs/000219_195_jimskorna.png
runway 14 left
Because I have installed and want to try using VOXATC instead. So without it turned off. I'm actually hearing 2 different ATC programs.
tjrush
Go into your sound settings and uncheck voice. ________ http://corporateairamerica.com/caaemailsig.jpg
mrzippy
Go into your sound settings and uncheck voice. +1 also make sure to set the slider at 0 if it doesn't go there automatically. Under Settings/General uncheck ATC window and ATC messages and logs. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
dbphiladelphia
Pretty much what they said. I'm also using VOXATC. Kill the volume and don't open the window, and it's like it was never there. Only thing that bugs me about that, though - I'm not sure if VOX ATC is also tapping in to all of the generated traffic that the default ATC is, especially on the ground. I like the VOX ATC creates more AI traffic, but the downside is that AI traffic seems less coordinated and will sometimes drive through each other.
