gypsymoth
I'd be very grateful if someone can suggest sounds for the De Havilland DH100 Vampire ? All my library searches get me nothing ;-( Thanks.
tiger1962
The Vampire's engine was the DH Goblin, which was also used in: Curtiss XF15C-1 de Havilland DH 108 Swallow Fiat G.80 Gloster Meteor Lockheed XP-80 Shooting Star Saab 21R You might find a payware version of one of the above with a realistic soundset - all the freeware ones are aliased to the default Lear45 sounds - good luck! EDIT: Rob Richardson's Vampire for FSX has it's own soundset, (FSX sounds also work in FS9) at his website here: http://www.robertjamesrichardson.co.uk/page3.html Tim Wright "The older I get, the better I was..." tiger1962
Thanks but I downloaded one robert james vampire & it was aliased to a F18..... You're right, I tried the F3 and it is aliased. I then downloaded the 'second prototype LZ551/G' version (as flown by Eric "Winkle" Brown) from Rob's own website and the Vampire sounds are included with that one. napamule2
https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php?do=copyright&fid=57680 Its FS2002 sound for the Lockheed Starfighter, by Eric Cantu, but this one works in FS9 and FSX and is my favorite 'go to' jet sound. I use it for concept, etc jets. I think you will like.
