alexzar14
A year ago I asked a mission-impossible question: how to make FSX/P3D ignore the center point when panning inside a VC with the mouse, and it was answered: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?298979-panning-inside-VC-with-the-mouse&highlight=panning+inside A new question now: FSX is too sensitive on the mouse wheel when zooming in the cockpit, each notch-roll (or rolling-notch) of the wheel brings the view too much forward or back, unlike in XPlane where the zooming response is much lesser. Please, see what can be done too lesser the effect of mouse wheel on the zoom function in FSX.

Each scroll wheel click adjusts the view by 10 percent to 1.00x and then by 50% thereafter in sequence - e.g. .70-.80-.90.1.00-1.50. If you have anything else going on you need to adjust your mouse. Mark Hurst
You can bind the mouse wheel actions for 'mouse look' to 'selection increase slightly' and 'selection decrease slightly' instead 'selection increase' and 'selection decrease'. Do it in options/setting/controls/buttons and switches. But then it's way too slow. You can probably do it in FSUIPC by writing a tiny script that does this action ten times for each click. alexzar14
Somehow it doesn't recognize any mouse inputs, mouse inputs only recognized in "mouse yoke" settings. As for the mouse settings specifically, Win 10 only lets you change the number of lines per scroll, no wheel-roll sensitivity. Will leave it as is. ScatterbrainKid
Anyway, using the mouse wheel to zoom sounds a bit clumsy, I never touch the mouse while playing FSX except for clicking menu items. I use a joystick to fly and the keyboard keys for other things like zooming. etc. The zoom keys are '-' and '=' Instead of zooming the VC, try sliding the eyepoint with Ctrl '-' and Ctrl '=' Here's the full list of eyepoint keys and a couple of screenshots with the eyepoint at various positions. (Remember, moving the eyepoint simply slides your eyeballs around and is completely different to zooming)- SHIFT Enter= Up SHIFT Backspace=Down SHIFT CTRL Enter= RIGHT SHIFT CTRL Backspace= LEFT CTRL Backspace= Forward CTRL Enter= Back Hold CTRL and hit SPACE= Reset Cessna VC eyepoint slid forward- http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g64/PoorOldSpike/sub2/FSX-eyepoint1_zpsmqamutj3.jpg~original And slid back- http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g64/PoorOldSpike/sub2/FSX-eyepoint2_zpsffzoxuzl.jpg~original
