tzagman
I am trying to add a new view with FO's MasterCaution These are the lines in my panel.cfg: [Window37] Background_color=0,0,0 size_mm=47,23 window_size_ratio=1.000 position=0 visible=0 ident=10037 window_size= 0.100, 0.100 window_pos= 0.000, 0.000 gauge00=PMDG_737NGX!MasterCautionSystem_FO, -51,-5,100,42 The gauge appears as expected BUT is inoperative! Not clickable and not lighting When I try with PMDG_737NGX!MasterCautionSystem_Captain all is OK Any ideas?
PhantomTweak
Are you sure that gauge exists in that CAB or .gau file? Could it need another, "invisible" gauge added? Does the Captain gauge exist as a pop-up or as part of a panel? Could it need to have some kind of electrical switch to operate properly? Like having the Battery Bus, Generator, Avionics Bus, or whatever, operative, or something along those lines? I'm just throwing ideas out. PMDG tends to have things included to keep their gauges, aircraft.cfg, and so on, private, I've read. Maybe a code of some sort is in the Panel.cfg to permit such gauges to function. I don't know that for certain, as I've never had any PMDG products, I'm afraid. I don't know if any of this is applicable or not, but maybe... Pat☺ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again! il88pp
47,23 looks as if maybe too small? (can't test now) -51,-5 (negative) seems weird too. (I don't have that plane) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
tzagman
Thanks for your answers I build a cockpit and I want some of the gauges to display them on a monitor instead of buying or build them. The numbers like 47,23 or -51,-5 exist because I want to isolate specific elements from wider 737ngx gauges I use FS Panel Studio Most of the gauges I've used until now they work fine Now I noticed that neither "PMDG_737NGX!Doors" gauge is operative. Maybe I have to give parameters for these gauges to work but I cannot find this Anyway thank you again
il88pp
I'm surprised it showed at all. This drawing is to visualise the gauge position you chose: See this image. grey is the monitor, pink is the window, (position=0 --> upper left) green is the gauge. (-51,-5 -->top left of gauge is above and to the left of the window.) I tried this with a random gauge. te fs9gps. It didn't show, only flashed briefly. Then I repositioned: I used as gauge coordinates: 0,0 it the showed up fine. Thought of other option. Perhaps make the widow appear in the centre of the monitor. Still -51,-5, but now with with position=4 Didn't work. Putting the top-left corner of the gauge left and above the widow itself is a no go it seems. Use 0,0, (or if you add a second a smal gauge somewhere in the middle of a popup, use positive numbers.) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
tzagman
Please don't worry about dimensions, all the panel windows I make with Panel Studio are displayed fine showing exactly the gauge I want to be seeing. A correction to last post: "PMDG_737NGX!Doors" gauge IS active and operative. I am just looking for a solution about the functionality of "PMDG_737NGX!MasterCautionSystem_FO" gauge. It is weird that the gauge looks like Captain's MasterCaution and not FO's which is inversed. Captain's MasterCaution IS operative.
tgibson_new
Perhaps it's a dummy gauge and does not operate? Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.com
