First flight ever in a chopper and probably not my last, kinda fun actually. It gives the scenery a whole new perspective.

Scenery - Orbx

Aircraft - Alabeo

Very nice pictures indeed! Interesting color on that chopper.

A fine example of the old "form-follows-function" adage though. Isn't it amazing how that Robinson is starting to look more and more like a B206?

Thanks for a great post!

Pat☺

Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again!

Adam! In an eggbeater?! Well, there goes another sign of the apocalypse.

Helos can be great fun! You've chosen a very nice one for your inaugural flight.

At the risk of bringing on the end-of-days I say, "Give us more!" — Bob

Great Adam!! And I agree "It gives the scenery a whole new perspective." That's really true sitting in the cockpit. You soon learn to look up to see forward. In fact at fast cruise you can get a pretty good neck ache just seeing where you're going!

I always enjoy all your shots! ;)

Thanks so much!!

Michael

I am not much of a eggbeater Adam, these pics match up to your usual great ones that you post with scenery & choice of aircraft. This is surely different from your pics, you must be expanding your hanger. Like Larry say's I too crash and burn as it is all the controls you have to master, I get lucky airborne sometimes but it is the landings. Gave up. Kenny

Welcome to the rotary-wing club Adam! Alabeo did a fantastic job modeling this helo, not sure how accurate the flight dynamics are but that's ok ..... looks great in your shots ... I have it too and absolutely love it. Mike ;)

Pat, Bob, Michael, Darren, Larry and Mike, thank you fellas. :)

Bob who would have thunk I would be flying an eggbeater, let alone posting shots. Must have been the full moon! :D

Mike, my experience trying to fly the default helo's wasn't very successful to say the least, but for the price I decided to give it a shot one more time, now all is well. :D

Welcome to the rotary wing club!

As you have discovered, and amply demonstrated: the best way to look at great scenery is when the prop is up there, out of the way, and you can dawdle around the best bits!

Didn't you know? That's not a prop, it's a fan to keep the pilot cool. If you don't think so, let it stop, and watch the pilot start to sweat!

:D :D

Thank you Charl. :)

I finally found something old Janski couldn't steal from me, YES! :D

Who needs a wing, I can fly without that thing, can you. :p

Nice one Pat, LOL. :D I found that to be true, I lost the main on my first test flight and was sweatin' like a Coke bottle at an August barbecue. :D
