ParadisA330
Hello, I use FSX mostly for the "passenger" experience. I enjoy flying "looking out the window" with a wingview. What determines what aircraft have wing views (eg press "1" to see the wing, vs none). I see that most POSKY have Wingviews. Nothing is more disappointing than downloading a really nice plane and finding no wingview. Thanks!!
mrzippy
If you read through the download descriptions carefully, most will state whether they include wing views. Are you looking for wing views from the cockpit or from a passenger window? My POSKY 737-800s all have wing views. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer! ParadisA330
from the cockpit, where I view left/back or right/back and usually you can see the engine. From there you can "move back" by holding down enter and shift and ctrl shift to sit over the wing or just in back to watch the flaps.
ScatterbrainKid
Some planes have got no passenger cabin anyway, but like Paradis said, you can slide your eyepoint back to find out. For example this is a freeware Junkers 52 which has got a nice cabin and I've slid the eyepoint way back into the cabin. Sliding is slow and might take some time in large planes but you'll get there in the end. And you can actually fly the plane from this position if you want- http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g64/PoorOldSpike/sub2/FSX-eyepoint-ju52_zpspwivtfhg.jpg~original And pan to look out the window- http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g64/PoorOldSpike/sub2/FSX-eyepoint-ju52-2_zpshyos2uqe.jpg~original MORE SCREENSHOTS about the eyepoint here- https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?248567-How-do-you-keep-FSX-interesting/page35

vomacka
This is how I did a wing view/window in my POSKY 737. You have to set up a camera view. (Copy the wing view camera view section from the default 737) https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?296108-FSX-2D-Cabin-Window-Panel-%28In-the-files-section-here%29 http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l182/vomacka/737%20Wing%20view1_zpslov5z41o.jpg http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l182/vomacka/737%20Wing%20view2_zpste41msq6.jpg Scott Windows 10 Home 64bit. ScatterbrainKid
Scatterbrain, Which JU-52 is that? It looks nice. It's the freeware Junkers-52/3M Package by O. Fischer from here- http://simviation.com//simviation/?ID=66&page=16&mark=6713 It comes politically-correct without a swastika on the tail, so if you want to be historically accurate you have to download an extra 'swastika' file like I've done in the screenshot below. ("..no lie comes from the truth"- Bible:1 John 2:21) Also, the perspex in the cockpit and cabin windows is a bit dull so you have to download a fix to make it more transparent, but I haven't bothered. http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g64/PoorOldSpike/sub2/FSX-Ju-52-fdw_zpswwknoda0.jpg~original http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g64/PoorOldSpike/sub2/FSX-Ju-52-cpit_zps0rbrnjxd.jpg~original
HoratioWondersocks
Hello Don't know about X, but for 9 there are plenty of wing views for most airliners within the library. Try searching for' wing views' in the FSX section of the library. If unavailable here ,try the 'other place' Cheers Andy
ParadisA330
What I'd really like is a 777 with AA livery with wingviews!
Captain Vodka
My suggestion is get EZdoc and then have any view you want, cinematically walking from one to another or point to point. . EZdoz camera views also allow you to control / add such effects as vibrations etc.. excellent tool
