PhantomTweak
Sure, you know, Bombardier and Embraer merged operations, and became Embardier :D Much like UPS and Fed-Ex joining up, and making a new delivery company. You know, good ol' Fed-UP :D :D Sorry, I couldn't resist. Good luck on you aspirations, I hope you make it. Just don't do what I did, and go enlisted military. Go Officer, and try for flight school. A LOT of military pilots have second jobs as airline pilots. The airlines love em for their training and discipline. Don't believe the movies. I've only met a total of 3 pilots in my carreer that were anything at all as undisciplined as Maveric. One managed to wind up killing another pilot when his wingtip just brushed through the man's cockpit pulling up and out of a bombing run, and two wound up making gun runs on my aerostat's mooring system, at about 0200, thinking it was a really nice radar target to use. All threee of those guys lost their wings on the flightline when they climbed out of their plane on the tarmac. I heard the one that managed to kill a squadron mate faced criminal charges. The movies are one thing, real life is entirely different. Not counting the pilots back when that liked to fly through blimp hangars...They don't WANT, and will rapidly eliminate the "hotdogs". Have fun all! Pat☺ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again! jadon
I wouldn't be able to join the military anyways, but thank you for the advice, lol yes I tend to think of two companies and mix their names together by accident. I am planning actually to go to Embry-Riddle, but I am also looking at different options.
il88pp
Log in to flightsim.com At the top of this page, click "FIle Library" A drop-down box opens. Click "Advanced search" In the page that opens, there is a bocx at the top that says "All file sections" Click on the arrow next to it. Select "FSX:FSX - All files" Then below it you see: "Find files that have..." "all these words:" type there: erj 170 Then scroll down to the bottom of the page. You will see four check boxes. Put a check-mark in the box that says: "Complete aircraft with model, panel, sound " Then, all the way at the bottom, click "Search" (or just press enter.) A page will open with the search results. If you want to change the search terms a little and sarch again, press the "Back" -button of your Browser. -------- Usually addons have a Readme.txt file included, explaining how to install. Sometimes it is as simple as placing the plane's folder in the: ..\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes -folder. Have a look in that folder, so you know what to expect and what should be present in a plane's folder. The file you download will be a zip file. You will need to unzip this before installing. If you need help installing just ask. Oh, and welcome to the Forum. :) il88pp [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
HoratioWondersocks
If its e170s your after I would strongly recommend you use the model by dreamwings( its far superior to any other freeware 170 models IMO of course). There are some very acceptable freeware panels available for this aircraft as well. . Check the file library. Cheers Andy

Not sure Dreamwings aircraft will work in X. Andy
StringBean
The Dreamwings model does work in FSX... It is an FS9 model, so the panel.cfg and sound.cfg point to the default B737-400. Changing that to B737-800 makes the plane work in FSX. You might want to look for a more appropriate panel and sound. The model itself is pretty nice, no VC. peace, the Bean WWOD---What Would Opa Do? The OP seemed upset that it wasn't the latest repaint. I did not find any "Newer" textures or pictures doing a search for that aircraft. I then decided not to push it any farther. I found no other ones in a Google search. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
