jakerman19
Hi I just got the TDS 787-8 in jetstar livery. I'm on my first flight and I started the approach into HKT and apparently, you approach at 20-30 degrees down (that's what autopilot does). I'm not going to slow and my flaps are down when they should be. Then the landing gear comes down, then the flight turns into a rollercoaster. Please help!!!!! Thanks, Jake
mrzippy
At what altitude are you starting your approach and what is the VS setting on the AP? I just downloaded the same aircraft. In the aircraft.cfg under [Autopilot] the default vertical speed was set to =1. I reset to 1800 and will test fly. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer! CptCaveman
Excessive nose down attitude means your flying too fast and have too much lift. The 787 wings generate a lot of lift, and its engines are extremely beefy. Slow it down and get it nose level before you press for approach hold [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
mrzippy
Test flight was normal from takeoff to approach and landing. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
ScatterbrainKid
..approach at 20-30 degrees down (that's what autopilot does)... I've had FSX for 7 years and have never used autopilot because that'd spoil the fun, you haven't lived til you've landed a big jet by the seat of your pants on pure manual..:)
