Roger Mills
Hi Downloaded the freeware Avro Vulcan. the wings and rear fuselage are missing. the bitmap images are loaded, but all I see is the front fuselage and assorted floating bits. Running Windows 8.1, FSX 10. with acceleration. This has happened before with some aircraft, others fly perfectly. Help would be much appreciated. mrzippy
What is the filename for this Avro Vulcan? Is it here in the library? Was it this one? fsx_avro_vulcan_updated.zip Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!

Dragontech64
I hope someone does have an answer because I occasionally get the same error with FSX Acceleration on Windows 7, 64-Bit.
mrzippy
Have you turned off DX10 preview? Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
JSkorna
You are trying to use FS2004 planes that may not work in FSX. Use FSX designed planes and this will not happen. http://www.air-source.us/images/sigs/000219_195_jimskorna.png
PhantomTweak
I hate it when the "bits" are missing! Best part... Sorry, the smart-alek rears it's head (or maybe "bits") again! :D Pat☺ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again! Sgt, USMC, 10 years proud service, Inactive reserve now :D
jandjfrench
Hi, Just something to throw in the mix. I had a similar problem when I would add new aircraft. All the existing aircraft where fine. It turned out that I had added a Mod 3 Shaders fix to correct problems I had with detailed clouds. At some point part of the required edits to FSX.cfg were lost. The problem did not appear until I tried adding an aircraft. Unfortunately, there was quite a bit of time between when the edits were lost and when I added a new plane. Took a long time to figure it out. Jim F.
Roger Mills
Have you turned off DX10 preview? OK, turned off DX 10 preview. Yes, full aircraft appears in " change aircraft ", then the main program drops out. Partial success. Still mystified ??? Regards Roger
