obikenobi
So a couple of days ago I was doing a flight GCLP-EGKK and I'm setting up the aircraft and as I get to the fmc to put in the departure and all those things FSX freezes. Have not have that problem before so I restart the sim startup the aircraft and this time it's fine. Then as I'm aproaching Gatwick I set in the arrival and just check for discontinuities and FSX freezes again. AMD A8-5600K APU 3.60 GHz 8 GB RAM Graphics card Sapphire 7500HD 1GB Thanks in advance
Bojchi04
Is your fmc integrated in your aircraft or is it a separate program? Most aircraft of mine don't have functioning fmc's at all. Try setting higher priority in task manager before using your fmc The one who is worthy flies, :pilot: :pilot: the one who flies is worthy, the one who isn't worthy, doesn't fly :pilot:
il88pp
To know what caused the error you'll need to look for the faulting module. You can find the faulting module in The event log In windows click on Start. Controll panel - System and security - Events Logs. Open View event logs. Navigate to Custom Views and then Administrative Events and locate the error by FSX. I'll show you an example of the error details : Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb14 Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x04f40000 Faulting process id: 0xb84 Faulting application start time: 0x01ce5e7b4fec05cd Faulting application path: E:\FSX\fsx.exe Faulting module path: unknown Report Id: 85f639de-ca93-11e2-afac-00e04c054dc3 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: I say again, this was an example. Post your error details similar to this. Post the entire error details. il88pp
Simprop.dll is the cause. I have no experience myself with this specific .dll, but I know that is causing your crashing. Hang around and I'm sure someone will help. Also, google: "simprop.dll" FSX (with the quotes, so google searshes for the whole thing). Then see what comes up. I already did that and saw this error often appears if you have done a "repair" (using the DVD) And you have not uninstalled Acceleration before doing the repair. (that is required, but many people don't knw that). Here are two links I found for example: http://flightsimeindhoven.nl/?p=9975 and: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?255319-FSX-crash-on-startup-simprop-dll edit: What did I say about hanging around... Thereeeee's Zippy! ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
obikenobi
Thank you for the help although I haven't repaired FSX. I have no clue what it could be.
il88pp
Is there maybe also another faulting module reported with fsx recenly in the error logs? Because sometimes one module crashes, and then takes another one down with it. (And you will then see two separate reports about them.)
