Using planes from P3dV2.0 in FSX

The A36 seems to work in FSX, try something like this:

1. Copy the "Carenado A36 BONANZA P3D" folder from "Prepar3D v2\SimObjects\Airplanes" to "Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes"

2. Copy the following from "Prepar3D v2\gauges" into the "Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\Carenado A36 BONANZA P3D\panel" folder:

A36Manual.CAB

APBK_A36.CAB

BA36.CAB

CarenadoG430_3D_A36.CAB

DIGTTRANS_A36.CAB

RadioA36.dll

3. Copy the following from "Prepar3D v2\effects" to "Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Effects":

fx_beaconcartresseisA36.fx

fx_strobecartresseisA36.fx

fx_vclightcartresseis2A36.fx

fx_vclightcartresseisA36.fx

4. Copy the following from "Prepar3D v2\effects\texture" to "Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Effects\texture":

fx_alaefetresA36.bmp

fx_efetres2A36.bmp

If you use the DX10 fixer you may need to run it and update those effects after copying, the beacon seems to have draw order issues. Didn't try DX9.

Why? I paid for the plane I'm not using P3D ...paid for that too.
Waste of money? Why didn't you ask for a refund then?

Because it's illegal and against the EULA of both Carenado and LM, thats why. But dont worry they're considerably ahead of you on this.

Why are you using old 2.0 of P3D? You've paid for it, so why not update to the latest 2.5 hotfix - mahoosive performance and display improvments wrought since your version.

Or ante up for some pukka hardware to run it, if that is the problem. FSX is dead, if still steaming.

Can we see the line in the EULA where it says you can't copy files from one directory to another on your own personal PC please?

I can see a clause prohibiting that - but let's not go there!

LOL........My P3DV2 works wonderfully! Just put the TDS 737-600,700,800 and 900 in it with the upgraded default 737-800 cockpit. My FSX also runs flawlessly and I see new addons for it all the time. I doubt FSX is dead. Maybe you're just a quitter. :)

I saw quite a few posts from DoubleJ back when he was trying to get P3D running - IIRC he tried a lot of suggestions - none of which worked to his satisfaction.

It happens - my FSX install was perfect and my P3D2.5 install is the same - maybe I'm lucky or not as picky as DJ. Bottom line - that's why we have competing products - nothing works perfectly for everyone on every system.

I will say that my first venture into P3d resulted in my cancelling my subscription - thought it was an awful, blurry, stuttery mess. After reading glowing reports from many, I decided to try it again and move slowly - haven't looked back since.

Someday DJ, it may be worth a try again.

When Nvidia decides to properly support P3DV2XX with it's own profile I'll try it again.

Amen to that!
