CrazyDaveIowa
Wow, that's a monster! I'm getting one. Ok, for FSX yokes etc, is there a benefit to using the 3.0 USB for anything vs 2.0? I have; CH Products Yoke and Throttle quad and three GoFlight modules, plus keyboard and mouse of course. I am exploring a total upgrade though to new Saitek yoke, pedals, throttle. Right now I am using a cheapo 10 port hub and have not really seen any issues. Thanks! dogdish
That 28 port hub only comes with a 4 amp power supply, way too small (.14 amp per port) for multiple Saitek FIP use (They draw about .5 amps each). Your better off using 4 port hubs with 2.5 amp supply's and daisy-chaining them. I have four 4 port "slave" hubs plugged into a 4 port "master" gives you 16 ports with 10 amps (or .63 amp per port). Never have power drop out problems. Check your devices for current demands to make sure your not going to draw more power then the supply's maximum. Simple math skills required :) Then you won't be wondering why you have so many USB problems. If you need more ports you could get a 7 port hub and plug in seven 4 port hubs for a total of 28 ports and 17.5 amps (or .63 amp per port) of power. CrazyDaveIowa
Yes, I bounced the idea of this monster hub off the computer guru at work and he said the same thing! Makes sense.
