borcapa
Dear FlightSim Community: Is it possible to make an FS2004 addon scenery become automatically active, or inactive, depending on the date? Say for example you want to use "1960 Chicago O'Hare Airport" when simulating a flight in 1960 and you want to use the default Chicago O'Hare Airport when flying in 2015. It is convenient if you forget to turn on or off your sceneries before starting your flight, like I always do! I remember flying an adventure over a volcano eruption in 1983, that was not occurring in 1999, in Flight Simulator 98. Thanks.
tgibson_new
Hi, While this is possible for effects (we did that for the 1957 through 1962 Kiluea eruptions in our classic Hawaii scenery), I'm not aware of a way to make entire sceneries date specific, unfortunately. ColR1948
I think the only SAFE way is to have 2 installs, then if you want to fly present day open that one or visa-verse.
PhantomTweak
That's what gooden olden Golden Wings recommends. Make a whole 'nother install, in a separate folder, of FS9, with just their stuff in it. Prevents conflicts and confusion. Which I seems to have plenty of anyway...
